Plan NL - Multi-Municipal Comprehensive Plan
As part of the ‘PLAN NL’ Multi-Municipal Comprehensive Plan, the Townships of Weisenberg, Heidelberg, Lowhill, Lynn & Washington as well as the Borough of Slatington have contracted with Environmental Planning & Design to update their zoning ordinances & create an official map for each municipality. Electronic Recycling Events - 2024
Weisenberg Township will be holding an Electronic Recycling Event on April 27th and October 5th of 2024.
The event will be held at the Weisenberg Volunteer Fire Company - 2500 Golden Key Road, Kutztown PA 19530 from 9am -11am or until the truck is full. This is a no contact event and you will need to show that you are a resident of Weisenberg township. A flyer will be posted closer to the event. Public Notice - May 2024 Multi-Municipal Comprehensive Plan Zoning Update Workship - MEETING NOTICE
The Townships of Heidelberg, Lowhill, Lynn, Washington & Weisenberg and the Borough of Slatington, Lehigh County PA have rescheduled their May 2024 Multi-Municipal Comprehensive Plan Zoning Update Workshop to Tuesday, May 14th 2024 at 5:30 pm. The meeting will be held at the Washington Township building, 7951 Center St., Emerald, PA 18080.

SEALED PROPOSALS will be accepted by Weisenberg Township until 9:00 a.m., on Monday, April 8, 2024 at the Weisenberg Township Building, 2175 Seipstown Road, Fogelsville PA 18051, for the following Contract:

“2024 Bituminous Paving” on West Hills Court, Weisenberg Township, Lehigh County PA.

937 Tons of 9.5 mm Wearing Course
471 SY of Gutter Milling, As Directed

All materials must meet PENNDOT Pub. 408 Specifications and Standards. Bidders need to be PENNDOT prequalified.
Proposals must be on forms provided by the Township. Proposals shall be marked “2024 Bituminous Paving”. Proposal forms, specifications and bid information can be obtained at the Weisenberg Township Municipal Building at the above address or by calling Brian Carl, Manager, at 610-285-6660, Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
All bidders are asked to drive roads and check out current conditions prior to submitting a bid. Bidders must also schedule an individual mandatory pre-bid meeting with Tony Werley, Roadmaster, at the above number, prior to the bid deadline.
All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to Weisenberg Township. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price within 20 days of the award of the contract.
All bids will be opened and read publicly at 9:05 AM on Monday, April 8, 2024 at the Township Building and, pending review, awarded at the Board of Supervisors Meeting at approximately 7:00 PM on Monday, April 8, 2024.
Weisenberg Township reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and may also waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interest of the Township.
Pennsylvania Prevailing Wages WILL Apply to this contract if the final price exceeds $100,000.00.

PUBLIC NOTICE TOWNSHIP OF WEISENBERG, LEHIGH COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA ORDINANCE NO. 2024-1
Notice is hereby provided pursuant to Subsections 1601(a) and 1601(d) of the Second Class Township Code (hereinafter, “Code”), as amended, 53 P.S. §§ 66601(a), (d), that the Board of Supervisors (hereinafter, “Supervisors”) of Weisenberg Township (hereinafter, “Township”), Lehigh County, Pennsylvania intends to consider for adoption at its regularly-scheduled, public meeting to be held on Monday, April 08, 2024, commencing immediately following the conclusion of the below-described public hearing, at the Weisenberg Township Municipal Building located at 2175 Seipstown Road, Fogelsville, Pennsylvania 18051 (hereinafter, “Municipal Building”), proposed Ordinance No. 2024-1 (hereinafter, “Ordinance”). Because the Ordinance also constitutes an amendment to the Township’s Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance and Zoning Ordinance, notice is also hereby provided, in accordance with the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, as amended, 53 P.S. §§ 10505 and 10609, that the Supervisors intend to hold a public hearing on Monday, April 08, 2024, commencing at 7:00 p.m., at the Municipal Building, for the purpose of receiving public comment and input concerning the amendments to the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance and Zoning Ordinance as effectuated by the Ordinance.

The Ordinance is adopted pursuant to the express powers granted to the Supervisors by Subsection 1601(d) of the Code, as amended, 53 P.S. § 66601(d), which authorizes the Supervisors to prepare or have prepared a consolidation or codification of the general body of Township ordinances. The purpose of the Ordinance is to codify existing, at-large Township ordinances into a single comprehensive code of Township ordinances (hereinafter, “Code of Ordinances”). The Ordinance also provides for the consolidation of certain Township ordinance provisions and amends and repeals existing Township ordinances. Consolidations, repeals, and amendments to existing Township ordinances are noted throughout the Ordinance, as well as the Code of Ordinances.

The title of the Ordinance is: “AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WEISENBERG, LEHIGH COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, APPROVING, ADOPTING, AND ENACTING AN ORDINANCE CODIFICATION FOR THE TOWNSHIP OF WEISENBERG; CONSOLIDATING, REVISING, AMENDING, AND ENACTING CERTAIN NEW ORDINANCE PROVISIONS; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF CERTAIN LEGISLATION NOT INCLUDED THEREIN; SAVING FROM REPEAL CERTAIN OTHER LEGISLATION NOT INCLUDED THEREIN; SAVING FROM REPEAL CERTAIN OTHER LEGISLATION NOT INCLUDED THEREIN; PROVIDING A PROCEDURE FOR AMENDING THE CODE AND FOR THE CITATION OF THE CODE AND THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF; AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR TAMPERING WITH THE CODE.”

The Ordinance contains “Whereas” clauses explaining the legislative history behind, and rationale for, its adoption. Weisenberg Township, Lehigh County, PA will conduct the following meetings during the calendar year 2024 in the Municipal Building, 2175 Seipstown Road, Fogelsville, PA 18051.
Supervisor’s Re-organizational meeting: Tuesday - January 2, 2024 @ 5:00 pm.
Supervisor’s Close-Out meeting: Wednesday - December 23, 2024 @ 8:00 am.
Auditor Re-organizational meeting: Wednesday - January 3, 2024 @ 5:00 pm.
Supervisor’s Regular meetings: 2nd Monday of each month @ 7:00 pm.
Planning Commission meetings: Last Thursday of each month @ 7:00 pm except
November when the meeting will be held Thursday November 21, 2024 @ 7:00 pm and
December when the meeting will be held Thursday December 19, 2024 @ 7:00 pm
